Horal Toer de Geuze Oude Geuze Megablend 2009 75cl

To make a fine Oude Geuze, brewers mix one and two year old Lambic that has matured in wooden barrels. For a number of months or years, this mixture will re-ferment in the bottle.

However, there are also breweries that do not brew lambic themselves, but obtain the brew from various breweries and let it ferment themselves. They mix lambic from different years but also from different breweries. This gave us the idea to ‘stick’ a gueuze prepared from the lambics of all the breweries participating in the Toer de Geuze 2009.

After the summer of 2008, beer was collected from 8 different breweries and blenders.

This mixture was bottled on October 16, 2008 and will have matured in the bottle for more than 6 months on the day of the Toer de Geuze 2009. The mixture contains Lambic which was 1, 2 and 3 years old when the bottles were filled.

This Geuze has a very high storage potential. If you manage to keep a few bottles until New Year 2011, try them!

Pouring temperature 12-14 ° C.
